The actress and beau of four years, Peter Morgan, have split up, according to a new report by Page Six. The split comes after Gillian, 52, portrayed Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on The Crown, a series that Peter created.
The breakup was amicable, the report adds.
The former X-Files star and the British screenwriter began dating in 2016. The romance followed her nine-year relationship with The Fall star Mark Griffiths.
Of Gillian and Peter s union, The Daily Mail said the relationship has just run its course, and they intend to remain great friends. Over the course of the four years, the duo never lived together, which she brought up in an interview earlier this year.
