Heart rending scenes as relatives mourn deaths of 14 of family travelling to Ajmer shrine

Hyderabad: For 18 members of a family, a 2,000km visit to the famous shrine in Ajmer of Khaja Moinuddin Chishti ended up in tragedy hours after the journey began. Fourteen members of the family were killed on the spot as the mini bus carrying them hit a divider, jumped to the other side and rammed into another truck coming in opposite direction. The family had left Madanapalle town of Chittoor district on Saturday night. The deceased include 8 women, 5 men and a child. The horrendous accident occurred on Hyderabad-Bangalore highway near Veldurthy in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh at 330 am on Sunday.
