Sore eyes can be an indicator of the presence of Covid-19, a new study has found.
The research published in
BMJ Open Ophthalmology drew data from a survey of 83 participants. About 66% presented a dry cough as a common Covid-19 symptom. About 76% experienced fever, 90% had fatigue and 70% of people had lost their senses of taste or smell.
Eye symptoms indicative of conjunctivitis
With regards to symptoms related to their eyes, around 18% of people reported their eyes being sensitive to light, 16% complained of sore eyes, and 17% said they experienced itchy eyes.
