Procurement Assistant ROLE PURPOSE: The Procurement Assistant is responsible for support to the Procurement Coordinator in processing field requests for procurement of goods and services. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Experience in a similar role Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in providing assistance and support Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures Strong results orientation and positive team player Experience of providing definition of a clear way forward Ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies

II. Organizational Context and Scope Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Logistics/Procurement Assistant and the overall supervision of the Logistics and Procurement Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for provision administrative support to AVRR Programme beneficiaries and as well providing logistics/procurement and administrative support to projects within the mission at sub-office levels. III. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Assist the Logistics/Procurement Assistant to obtain interview forms and other supporting documents, necessary for provision of assistance to the beneficiaries. Assist the Logistics/Procurement Assistant in submission of interview forms and quotations to procurement focal point for verification and endorsement.
