Well I thought it was pretty interesting when law enforcement kind of fell off the list as being one of the essential professions that should receive the vaccine. Sims says his officers put themselves at risk of catching the coronavirus on a daily basis, as they make contact with people.

PBSO Mourns Loss Of At Least 4th Employee To Coronavirus

By Joel Malkin Jan 22, 2021 The Palm Beach County Sheriff s Office is mourning the loss of another team member to the coronavirus. According to a Facebook post, Corrections Support Personnel Gregory Pierre died while undergoing surgery, following a COVID diagnosis. Just short of his 47th birthday, Pierre leaves behind a wife and daughter. Last year, three PBSO employees died from the virus. 44-year old Deputy Angela Chavers passed away in September. Deputy Maurice Ford died at 50 last August and 38-year old Sergeant Diaz Ayala lost his life to COVID-19 in April. Another deputy died on Tuesday, but his cause of death is not known.
