Fired Bridgewater State professor indicted on sex crime charges

A fired Bridgewater State University professor was indicted Monday on charges of rape and other sex crimes after several female students reported alleged assaults, the Plymouth district attorneyâs office said Wednesday.
Nicholas Pirelli, 37, of Plymouth, was indicted on charges of rape, indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, engaging in sexual conduct for a fee, trafficking of persons for sexual servitude, and three counts of disseminating obscene matter, the office of District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said in a statement.
BROCKTON A now-terminated Bridgewater State University professor has been indicted on rape and other charges after several female students came forward to report to police that they had been sexually assaulted, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
On Monday, a Plymouth County Grand Jury indicted Nicholas Pirelli, 37, of Plymouth, on one count each of rape, indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, trafficking of persons for sexual servitude, engaging in sexual conduct for a fee, and three counts of dissemination of obscene matter.
The indictments follow an investigation by Bridgewater State University Police Department after a female student came forward to report an incident of inappropriate sexual conduct by Pirelli, then a temporary faculty member at the university, that occurred in October, 2019. Police responded to multiple 911 calls about 10:05 p.m. that night reporting shots fired.
A vehicle had struck a tree and had damage consistent with being involved in a shooting, the Plymouth County district attorney s office said.
The victim, Ramos, was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, where he died.
Since that time, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County DA s office and Brockton police have been investigating the murder. As a result, investigators developed probable cause to charge Mathieu with murder, the DA s office said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
In the days after Ramos killing, police identified Mathieu as a known associate of Ramos and the Wendover Street gang in Boston and said they wanted to speak to him and his brother about the murder because they were concerned his home may be targeted by retaliatory gunfire.
Accused serial rapist Ivan Keith pleads guilty to 1996 rape in Quincy, sentenced to up to 20 years in state prison

Ivan Keith, who has been charged with rape in Bristol, Norfolk and Plymouth counties, pleaded guilty to kidnapping and raping a woman in Quincy in 1996, the Norfolk District Attorney’s office said on Wednesday.
Keith pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Judge Beverly Cannone sentenced Keith to serve 19-to-20 years at MCI Cedar Junction for aggravated rape, and up to 10 years served concurrently for the aggravated kidnapping.
