THREE people have been jailed for more than 28 years in relation to an operation led by West Yorkshire Police’s Programme Precision. The case began when drugs, two firearms, ammunition and a knife were seized by officers on Monday, May 18, 2020. Bradford Crown Court heard how two cars were stopped in the morning – with a pistol and ammunition found in a Skoda stopped on Cannon Street (Castleford) and a knife found in a Volkswagen that was stopped on Chantry Bridge, Wakefield.  A subsequent operation then took place at a house on Bradford Road, Morley where a handgun and ammunition were found, as well as illegal drugs.

Police making inquiries in the Farcliffe Road area in connection with a drugs arrest POLICE are carrying out inquiries in the Farcliffe Road area, off Toller Lane, this afternoon after two men were arrested on drugs charges after their car was stopped in Bradford last night. Officers from Programme Precision arrested two males, seized what is believed to be a large quantity of Class A drugs and recovered cash in Bradford yesterday evening. A car was stopped on a road off of Whetley Hill at approximately 6pm on Wednesday. The driver, a 38-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A controlled drugs.

Mohammed Nisar Khan - known as Meggy - is serving a life sentence for hunting down and deliberately running over father-of-three Amriz Iqbal as he crossed a road in 2018. Mr Iqbal suffered an unsurvivable injury when his head struck a tree after being flung into the air following the smash in Bradford Moor, West Yorkshire.  Khan mowed down Mr Iqbal in a silver Kia Sedona with right-hand man Tony Grant in the passenger seat and up to four other armed men in the back of the vehicle.

Richard Beech A FAILED businessman become the sixth and final member of an organised crime ring operating in Bradford to be put behind bars this month. Richard Beech was jailed for five years for laundering £5 million of drugs money for the gang.   He made frequent trips between his home in Manchester and West Yorkshire to collect and deliver large amounts of cash concealed in hidden compartments under the seats of his specially modified Range Rover. He was labelled the “cash converter and banker” for the organisation led by Rashid Ashraf (also known as Mohammed Rashid) who was jailed for 18 years.

Updated Friday, 18th December 2020, 3:31 pm The last of the group, Richard Beech, 46, of Urmston Lane in Manchester, was jailed today (Friday) at Bradford Crown Court for five years after he admitted possessing criminal property and transfer of criminal property to the value of £5m. Over 25kg of Class A drugs with a combined street value of up to £3m, four semi-automatic pistols (with 200 rounds of ammunition), four silencers and £300,000 in cash were also seized during the investigation by the Force’s Programme Precision team. The other five, who have already been sentenced at Bradford Crown Court under the same operation, are:
