Tamil Separatist Movement appears to have started its Genocide charge in 2014. 28 Members of the
Northern Provincial Council and 5 members of the Eastern Provincial Council
sent a joint letter on 17
th August 2014, to United Nations High Commissioner for Human
Rights, Navi Pillay.
The letter said

Tamil people strongly believe that they have been, and continue to be subject
to Genocide by Sri Lanka. The Tamils were massacred in groups, their temples
and churches were bombed, and their iconic Jaffna Public library was burnt down

Hundreds gathered in London, Ont. on Saturday at the public funeral for four members of a Pakistani-Canadian family who were killed in an attack that police have called a hate crime. Something important happened in England recently. Alongside local elections, there was a byelection in the constituency of Hartlepool on England’s northeast coast. Hartlepool has sent a Labour MP to Westminster for the last half century, but on May 6, Conservative Jill Mortimer was elected by a significant majority. The Hartlepool result matters not just because incumbent governments are so rarely rewarded at the ballot box during byelections, but because of what it says about broader political trends in the United Kingdom.
Canadian Conservatives would be foolish to ignore what has now become a substantive and sustained realignment of the U.K. Conservatives’ voter coalition. In fact, the byelection result, and the results of local elections happening at the same time, represent further confirmation of an increasingly proven theory: the success of the “Leave” side in the Brexit referendum campaign five years ago was not a historic aberration.
