Get moving with Microsoft’s FAST web components
Use FAST to build out well-designed websites with a Windows look and feel or even design your own web controls. Thinkstock
It’s often hard to choose what web technology framework to use for application front ends. Do you build your own or start with technologies like Vue and React? Maybe you come in at a higher level with a web component framework like Twitter’s Bootstrap, Google’s Polymer or Salesforce’s Lightning. Their templating model is powerful, allowing you to use and customize existing components and create your own, working with custom elements and isolating functionality using the JavaScript shadow DOM.

24Taas.com has registered an impressive growth of 1.8x from Oct’20 to Mar’21 leaving behind its competitors. ABP Majha has achieved only 1.3x growth during the same tenure while Loksatta.com and Lokmat.com achieved only 0.95x, and 0.8x growth respectively during the same tenure.

Fortnite on the iPhone: web apps. It’s an intriguing idea, as web apps are able to do surprisingly complex things: just look at a Chromebook or even game streaming services on the iPhone. But potential is far from reality, because the ability for web apps to look, feel, and perform as well as native apps on iOS is severely limited.

A long time ago, I interviewed former Xbox CVP Mike Ybarra about the future of Xbox, and what Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps could mean for the platform. Jokingly, we discussed getting the UWP version of Microsoft Office onto Xbox, enabling users to potentially turn their consoles into productivity devices. Well, thanks to the new Microsoft Edge, we re almost there (???).
