Photo: Reuters Vietnam on Friday morning recorded two new COVID-19 transmissions in a quarantine center of northern Hai Duong Province, the Ministry of Health announced in a report. The two cases, patients 2,534 and 2,535, were found infected with the pathogen after spending time in quarantine in the province. Patient 2,534 was sent to mandatory quarantine on Monday after being detected as a direct contact of a COVID-19 case in Hai Duong. The patient is receiving treatment at Field Hospital No. 3, which is managed by the Hai Duong General Hospital.

Two suffered from anaphylaxis and three others developed diarrhea, allergies and low pulse pressure, according to the national Expanded Program on Immunization. They are being treated and in stable condition. The vaccination campaign began on Monday and hundreds of medical staff in Hanoi, HCMC and Hai Duong and Gia Lai provinces have received the first dose of the vaccine developed by the British-Swedish company in collaboration with Oxford University.

Since the launch of the COVID-19 vaccination  on Monday, a total of 522 medical workers, who are directly treating COVID-19 patients, conducting sampling and testing, and performing contact-tracing tasks, have received the shots, according to the Expanded Program on Immunization.
