Stillwater Farm trail offers outdoor escape

Danielle Ray Landmark Correspondent STERLING Picturesque Stillwater Farm Interpretive Site in Sterling is an environmental education facility managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation Division of Water Supply Protection. An 18th-century farmhouse, a historic wood barn, and a self-guided interpretive trail are located on the 55 acre site near the Stillwater River. “This facility provides individuals and groups an opportunity to better understand the connections between land use and community character, and between natural resource protection and land management,” said Kathryn Parent, Program Coordinator for the Wachusett/Sudbury section of the Massachusetts DCR Division of Water Supply Protection.
