Aviation workforce members volunteer in community

Volunteers play a vital role in our communities and National Volunteer Week is a time to celebrate and recognize their impact, and encourage volunteerism in our communities. Held annually during the third week of April, this year’s National Volunteer Week took place April 18-24. Many members of the Program Executive Office for Aviation workforce dedicate their time and talents outside the office to serve as volunteers, both locally and abroad. Volunteer jobs include working to save abused and neglected animals, helping out at the Huntsville Hospital gift shop, assisting local veterans, supporting hurricane relief in Honduras, or even opening up their homes for children in need.
