The case against the trio, who appeared at the Protea Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 27 January 2021, was postponed to 26 February.

Nateniël Julies murder: Police officer released on R10 000 bail

Morapedi Mashashe One of the three police officers accused of the August murder of Nateniël Julies was granted R10 000 bail in the Protea Magistrate s Court on Friday.  Sergeant Voster Netshiongolo appeared before Magistrate David Mhango after applying for bail on the basis of new facts. His co-accused are Sergeant Simon Scorpion Ndyalvane and Constable Caylene Whiteboy.  The State opposed the bail application. Mhango said he would not deal with some of the aspects Netshiongolo had raised because they related to the merits of the case, which would be dealt with during the trial.
