The Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) has designated Ridgefield the first-ever Cultural District in the state, and Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC) is proud to help anchor the southern edge of the district from its prominent location on Main Street.
The COA defines Cultural Districts as walkable areas of a city or town that feature numerous cultural facilities, activities and/or assets. Dozens of smiling Prospects, dressed in their sparkly best, greeted America on Monday morning when Good Morning America anchor TJ Holmes visited the Prospector as part of their post-Oscars special edition of the show. The team at Good Morning America wanted to spotlight the Prospector Theater as a sparkly beacon of hope - for movie theaters and the disability community - amidst a lackluster awards season, national unemployment epidemic, and global pandemic.

RIDGEFIELD The Connecticut Office of the Arts announced Wednesday that it has approved the town’s bid to become the first municipality in the state to have a designated “cultural district.”
The news follows nearly two years of meetings, public hearings and presentations to gain the designation, all of which were slowed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
