JAMMU: Principal Secretary to Lieutenant Governor, Nitishwar Kumar today chaired a series of meeting to assess the progress being made on the implementation of directions of the Lieutenant Governor.
The meetings were held at Civil Secretariat and the Raj Bhavan here in which Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners were present in person and through virtual mode.
Secretary, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Sheetal Nanda informed the Principal Secretary that the target of 3500 trainings under Himayat scheme has almost been achieved. She also informed that houses under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana are being constructed as per targets and 500 such houses were completed in the last week.

JAMMU: Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, Nitishwar Kumar today conducted a review meeting to assess progress on various development projects and digital initiatives by departments and district administrations of J&K, here at the Civil Secretariat today.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioners shared the status of progress on various digital initiatives of their respective districts.
The chair was informed that in Jammu division, Hoshiyaar and Madadgaar apps of Kathua would be ready for trials next week. The e-Darbar app of Ramban would be subjected to pilot run next week in Gool. The mobile application of Project Insaaniyat, of Reasi, is also expected to be demonstrated by next Thursday. Newly recruited government employees mandated to serve in them for at least one year The Tripura government has selected 12 Rural Development Blocks (RDB) as aspirational in a measure aimed to take development activities to the grassroots level of the State. New recruits in government services will be given a posting in these backward blocks under special initiatives planned by the State government.
“Newly recruited government employees will have to mandatorily serve for at least one year in any of the 12 selected Blocks. These Blocks are lacking progress and development,” said senior Minister Ratan Lal Nath.
