New Delhi [India], May 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday directly transferred around Rs 19,000 crores to the bank accounts of 10 crore farmers across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN).
While speaking at the occasion of transferring of the eighth installment under the PM-KISAN, the Prime Minister said that farmers from West Bengal will benefit from the scheme for the first time. On this auspicious day of Akshaya Tritya, around Rs 19,000 crores have directly been transferred to the banks of farmers. It would benefit close to 10 crore farmers. For the first time, farmers from West Bengal will be benefitted from this scheme, PM Modi said.

New Delhi, May 14 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday directed all the states to take strict action against hoarders of concentrated oxygen cylinders.
The Prime Minister s direction came when he was addressing the nation after launching the eighth instalment of financial benefits worth Rs 19,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme to benefit more than 9.5 crore farmers that includes first-time beneficiaries in West Bengal.
The Prime Minister expressed dissatisfaction against these hoarders for their indulgence in such acts at a time when even Indian Armed forces comprising all its three divisions the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, and the Indian Air Force have been engaged to serve the human being amid Covid-19 crisis.
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 8th instalment of financial benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on Friday, May 14. Tomorrow is a very important day for the crores of farmers in the country. I will get the privilege of releasing the 8th instalment of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi through video conferencing at 11 am. On this occasion, I will also communicate with my farmer brothers and sisters, Prime Minister informed in a tweet.
According to Prime Minister s Office (PMO), This will enable the transfer of more than Rs. 19,000 crores to more than 9.5 crores beneficiary farmer families. Prime Minister will also interact with farmer beneficiaries during the event. Union Agriculture Minister will also be present on the occasion.

PM Kisan 8th installment: Centre to transfer Rs 19,000 crore to farmers accounts on Friday
The Centre will release the next installment of Rs 2,000 under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme on Friday. The government will transfer over Rs 19,000 crore to the bank accounts of more than 9.5 crore farmers. This will be the 8th installment since the launch of the scheme in 2019.
This will be the highest amount to be paid by the government under the scheme in a day. Farmers in West Bengal will also get the benefits of the scheme. This will be the first time when the eastern state s farmers will get financial aid.
