PM-KISAN 7th instalment to be released today; here is why some farmers may not receive benefits

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the seventh instalment of benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme today (December 25). The benefits of the scheme may not reach all the beneficiaries though.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will set to release the third and final instalment this year of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM KISAN) on Friday. The prime minister will transfer a sum of Rs 18,000 crore to 9 crore farmer beneficiary families.
Modi will also interact with farmers of six states at the live event at 12 noon. The government s outreach to farmers comes at a time when thousands from neighbouring states of Haryana and Punjab have set up pickets at Delhi borders in order to protest three farm laws promulgated by the government in September this year.
