Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 6 (ANI): TelanganaBJPKisan Morcha held a protest on Monday at the office of the Commissioner of Agriculture demanding the release of Rs 1 lakh as a part of the farmer loan waiver scheme.
Gujjula Premender Reddy, BJPKisan MorchaTelangana Incharge said, We are demanding the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) in Telangana along with the immediate release of Rs 1 lakh as a part of the farmer loan waiver scheme promised by the previous YRS government.
BJPKisan Morcha workers gathered outside the Commissioner s office in large numbers.
Heavy deployment of police personnel was there outside the office. The protestors were detained by police from the protest site. (ANI)

GUWAHATI: Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Parshottam Rupala attended a review meeting of Central Sector & Centrally Sponsored schemes held at Administrative Staff College, Guwahati on Monday. Taking forward the ongoing Crop Insurance Awareness Campaign for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) during the Crop Insurance Week across the country, Rupala informed that PMFBY aims to provide security cover to each farmer. He informed that the Central government will share premium subsidies for PMFBY up to 90 per cent for the northeastern States from the existing sharing pattern of 50:50.

GUWAHATI: Union minister Parshottam Rupala today said the Centre will share 90 per cent premium subsidy for the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) for the northeastern states.
The Union minister of state for agriculture and farmers welfare said this after attending a review meeting of central sector and centrally sponsored schemes held at the Administrative Staff College here.
