The Budget allocated for the Ministry of Women and Child Development shrank to 0.7% of the budget announced on Monday, according to leading economists.
The Ministry received ₹24,430 crore for fiscal 2022, which was 0.7% of the Budget. For the year 2020-21, the government has released Rs 280 lac to provide basic facilities to the colonies of scheduled caste. Under the Rs 100 crore of town development scheme of the municipal body, as many as 137 works have been completed and five works have been stopped,’ said Poojary.
