Passenger dies in one-car crash into ditch in Riga Township From Staff Reports RIGA TWP. A passenger died Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash southeast of Blissfield. Lenawee County sheriff s deputies were dispatched at 4:32 p.m. to an injury crash along Lipp Highway south of Ottawa Lake Road in Riga Township, a news release from the sheriff s office said. Deputies reported a 48-year-old man from Blissfield was driving a 2003 Lexus convertible southbound on Lipp and lost control of the car on the gravel roadway, causing it to go off the road and into a large ditch. The passenger, a 78-year-old man from Blissfield, was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said. The driver was transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital with serious injuries. He is listed in stable condition.
