Sony Interactive Entertainment PlayStation is looking for a new Head of Mobile, according to a job listing spotted by VGC. Based on the said post, the gaming giant is in need of an individual who has the capability to lead the development and strategy of mobile gaming and help shape the future of gaming for a world-class studio.

Mobile gaming is a big gold rush for game developers, and bringing all the big PC and console titles to the small screen has unquestioned advantages. Sony realizes this fact, therefore, its latest job listing for a senior position – the Head of Mobile, PlayStation Studios, SIE – reveals big plans to bring successful titles to the small devices. The position demands a team of mobile platform developers and scaling the team to bring in more business for a timeframe of three to five years.
The mobile platform for Sony, PlayStation Mobile Inc., already exists with applications like PS Remote Play, Run Sackboy! Run! and Uncharted: Fortune Hunter. Besides a handful of not so popular gaming apps, the publishing house lacks innovative apps that users have got used to.
PlayStation fans might see mobile iterations of their favorite franchises in three to five years. Sony's intention to tap the mobile gaming industry was revealed after the company posted a job advertisement that indicated their goal to expand in three to five years.

PlayStation Studios has posted a new job listing for a Head of Mobile position as it is now looking to expand its reach into the mobile side of the gaming business.
The PlayStation brand and mobile gaming have been connected in the past. Back in May 2016, PlayStation Mobile Inc. published Uncharted Fortune Hunter on iOS and Android.

According to IGN, similar to Square Enix s mobile endeavors with Lara Croft Go and Hitman Go, the Uncharted Fortune Hunter placed a blocky Nathan Drake in a grid-based puzzle adventure replete with deadly traps and other obstacles for players to overcome.
