PlayStation 5 – The six month report card – TheSixthAxis

stigdu 12/05/21, 21:27 Same. I’ve never seen one ‘in the flesh’ so to speak. Can’t wait to see the new control pad that I’ve heard so many good things about.Log in to reply MrYd 12/05/21, 19:56 The PS5 is kind of huge, and does have a few problems with the SSD. Not turning it off properly, maybe due to a power cut or deciding to risk rest mode, stands a good chance of corrupting the system software somehow and needing to reinstall everything. And there’s some useful features missing (Folders! Please! We need folders!), and apparently some people are easily confused when a PS4 and PS5 version of a game is available. And the latest bug means you randomly can’t move left or right on the home screen. But you can on the menu that pops up when you press the PS button, so you can reboot and fix it quickly.

The best games for PS5 | Engadget

We ve been running these lists quarterly since 2019, but it s only now that we feel the PS5 has a list of games strong enough to justify its own distinct page away from the PS4. That s not to say these games are all exclusive to the console that really would be a short list but we have looked for games that generally offer meaningful improvements over their last-gen counterparts when played on PS5. Usually we d take this opportunity to tell you what s new for this edition, but well, they all are. We ll be updating this periodically, so, if a game s just been released and you don t see it, chances are that the reason for its absence is that we haven t played through it ye

Does Days Gone deserve a sequel after all? – TheSixthAxis

Can we expect a sequel or DLC for the PlayStation exclusive? 07/05/211 Having just celebrated its second anniversary, Days Gone has found itself back under the spotlight, but not for all the right reasons. We’re here to ask what, if anything, comes next for the PlayStation exclusive and its developer, Sony Bend Studio. Before we dive in, let’s address the undead elephant in the room. According to a recent eye-opening report by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, there won’t be a Days Gone 2. Publisher Sony is alleged to have turned down the pitch from Bend before moving them onto other first party projects. For a while now industry pundits have had their eye on the Days Gone developer, especially after the departure of senior staff including John Garvin and Jeff Ross.

Sony Suffers Defeat in Brazilian Court Over PS5 Ban

Wednesday, May 05, 2021 Last December, The São Paulo Court of Justice ordered Sony to “unblock” PlayStation 5 consoles that it banned for violations of its terms of service. Sony had “bricked” PS5 consoles that violated its ToS by exploiting a loophole that allowed users to unlock the PlayStation Plus Collection for PS4 buyers for a fee. The company asked the court to overturn the ruling because it had “legally” banned the consoles. However, the court wasn’t convinced and pointed out that Sony’s stance on the matter was not “crystal clear” to users. As reported by ResetEra, the court found that although Sony did make it clear that sharing games from the collection is prohibited, the punishment for doing so wasn’t made clear to the user. In announcing its decision, the court also ordered Sony to pay R$ 1,500 to cover the plaintiff’s lawyer’s fee alongside bearing the cost of the lawsuit.
