A Marshfield woman was charged for allegedly fatally stabbing her husband on Thursday, according to authorities.
Christine Ricci, 46, faces one count of murder the outcome of a law enforcement investigation after first responders were called to a home at 679 Moraine St., the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
Marshfield police received a 911 call reporting a medical emergency at the residence around 4:46 p.m., officials said.
There, officers and emergency medical personnel found a man later identified as 51-year-old Michael Ricci suffering from stab wounds, authorities said. He was brought to South Shore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to prosecutors.

BROCKTON A Whitman man who ran a circus school has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenager who was a former student, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney s office.
Steven Santos, 43, was arrested at his home Thursday after a months-long Whitman police investigation into allegations that he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old student between July and August 2020 on four separate occasions, according to the district attorney s office.
Santos operated Simply Circus, a Newton business that offers coaching and acrobatics training. He is no longer employed there, according to the district attorney s office.
Santos founded the circus school in 2003 and moved it to Newton in 2009, according to an article by Wicked Local Newton.

MARION The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office confirmed on Jan. 13 that one man died and another man was hospitalized following a Jan. 7 crash on Pleasant Street. Scott Erdman, 74, of Marion struck a pedestrian and broke through a small stone fence after experiencing a medical emergency behind the wheel, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
Erdman began swerving and driving erratically before striking a male pedestrian who was walking on the sidewalk. The vehicle continued on the sidewalk, where it struck two rocks and a telephone pole before it came to rest on a rock wall, wedged between a tree and the telephone pole.
