A mother is demanding answers after she says Placer County sheriff s deputies stopped her son for a traffic violation but ended up shooting him several times. Katina Coronado says her son, Albert Savala III, was shot by deputies and thankfully survived.  He is here to tell his story, Coronado said. And his story needs to be heard.

Katina Coronado says her son, Albert Savala III, was shot by deputies and thankfully survived.  He is here to tell his story, Coronado said. And his story needs to be heard.   Coronado claims her son asked for a supervisor to be brought to the traffic stop because he feared for his life. He stated that multiple times that he feared for his life and again the answer to that was to shoot him, Coronado said.

Del Oro High School hit by vandals who caused $31K in damages

Vandals cause roughly $31,000 in damages at Del Oro High School The Placer County Sheriff s Office says it is looking for multiple suspects after the Loomis high school was vandalized. Author: Samantha Solomon (ABC10) Updated: 5:11 PM PDT April 16, 2021 LOOMIS, Calif. Del Oro High School in Loomis was vandalized, Placer County Sheriff s Office said in a Facebook post, with the vandals dealing roughly $31,000 in damages. The vandalism occurred sometime overnight between April 1 and April 2, according to the sheriff s department. In the post, a spokesperson for the department said investigators believe multiple people broke into the gym and wrestling room of the high school about two weeks ago. They broke multiple TVs and destroyed numerous wrestling mats. The vandals also threw paint across the gym floor and on the walls.
