The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is bringing a new glimmer of hope to a pandemic-weary public, but the number of doses that will initially be delivered in the United States is lower than originally expected. Why?
In the companyâs $1 billion contract with the federal government in August, the company pledged to have 12 million doses of its vaccine ready by the end of February, ramping up to a total of 100 million doses by the end of June.
