Akshay Kumar-starrer Sooryavanshi has been postponed yet again. The film, which was slated to release on April 30, has been postponed due to a rise in coronavirus cases in the country.
SOORYAVANSHI POSTPONED
The film’s team released an official statement and announced the same. Director Rohit Shetty informed his decision to postpone the film to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in a virtual meeting held on April 4.

The Bombay High Court today ordered the CBI to carry out a preliminary probe within 15 days into former Mumbai police chief Param Bir Singh s allegations against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.
Param Bir Singh, who was recently replaced as Mumbai Police chief, has alleged in a petition that he was targeted because he had complained to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray about Anil Deshmukh, listing several allegations including extortion and illegal transfers. I have no comments to make, Mr Singh told reporters on the court order.
In the previous hearing, the High Court had asked Mr Singh repeatedly why no FIR was filed on his allegations against the Maharashtra Home Minister.

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, urging him to allow Covid vaccination for all those above 25 years of age. He said that vaccinating a large number of young people, especially those going out to work, would help reduce the number of patients.
Regarding the Covid-19 situation in Maharashtra, Thackeray said that the state had always been transparent in providing information and has also increased the speed of testing. âWe are taking measures with the determination that every Covid-19 patient must be cured. We have put in place some strict restrictions through our âBreak the Chainâ campaign, to prevent the virus from becoming more harmful than it was last year,â he said.
