Mumbai, Dec 15: Stating that the Shiv Sena has not given up Hindutva, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, who heads that party, said the state government will take up restoration and preservation of ancient temples, with an aim to promote ancient culture and traditions .

Thackeray said the project would be undertaken in a phased manner and sought the cooperation of the Opposition in identifying the temples for preservation.
In a dig at the BJP, he said this project shows that we (Shiv Sena) haven t given up Hindutva .
Thackeray made it clear that the OBC quota will remain unchanged even as attempts are being made to create a social divide by spreading a speculation that Marathas will be included in the OBC category for reservations.

Pratap Sarnaik submits breach of privilege notice against media outlets for stories based on Kangana Renaut s tweet

Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik on Monday filed a breach of privilege against media outlets for running stories allegedly based on tweet by actress Kangana Ranaut that during raids at his home ED found Pakistani credit card.
Sarnaik in his notice said ED conducted two raids at his residence and found nothing suspicious during the raids. âED called me and my son for inquiry and we are cooperating with the ED and there is no issue, but after Kangana s tweet, electronic media and print media published news against me which were defaming and baseless as ED has officially said nothing about seizures in their raids,â Sarnaik said in the notice. Sarnaik has not mentioned names of press and media outlets in his notice.
