When Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on May 27 at his official residence in Mumbai, a big political storm was around the corner. The octogenarian Pawar had recently recovered from health complications from his post-cancer treatment. However, that did not deter an upset Thackeray from issuing a veiled warning. “I alone am not responsible to run the government. I expect cooperation from the NCP ministers,” Thackeray reportedly told Pawar, who is known as the architect of the ruling Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
The Maharashtra government today announced a compensation of Rs five lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in the house collapse incident in Mumbai's Malwani area.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar today said the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra will complete its full term and praised ally Shiv Sena, saying it is party which one can trust.
