Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], May 15 (ANI): The Odisha government on Saturday constituted a high-level advisory committee led by K Srinath Reddy, president, Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) to suggest measures to tackle the possible third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and to strategise the vaccination drive.
The Chief Secretary to the state government Suresh Chandra Mahapatra during a briefing informed about the high-level advisory committee. The expert committee will advise the state government on vaccination and management of COVID-19 including the necessary infrastructure, like ICU, ventilators, and manpower. On the basis of the recommendation of the expert panel, the government will take measures for the treatment of COVID patients, Mahapatra said.

Amid the surge in Covid-19 cases in the country, the Aurangabad Government Medical College has recently proposed a certificate course in Covid-19 prevention and management for state-run medical colleges.
As per reports, a proposal has been submitted to the secretary of Medical Education, Director of Medical education and research, and registrar of the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 15 (ANI): The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has postponed the examinations of medical students in wake of the increasing COVID-19 cases in the state.
The medical examination was earlier scheduled to begin on April 19.
State Medical Education Minister Amit V Deshmukh said that the exam will now be held in June. The university will release the detailed schedule shortly. Maharashtra University of Health Sciences has decided to postpone the examinations of medical students to be held from April 19 after discussing with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, announced Minister for Medical Education Amit V Deshmukh on Thursday.
