Mumbai: In the latest development in the Antilia bomb scare case, Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Waze, who was initially investigating the high-profile case and later arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), has been suspended from service.
The NIA, probing the Antilia bomb scare case is investigating whether Waze was present near RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani s residence, where the Scorpio car was abandoned. Notably, explosives were present in the abandoned car near Antilia.

Speaking to the reporters, Patil said, It is extremely shameful that a police officer who was till yesterday strongly defended by the chief minister of our state has today been arrested by the National Investigation Agency in a terror conspiracy case. Do you (Uddhav Thackeray) even realise that your public statements in favour of a tainted officer have perhaps done irreparable damage to the reputation of our state?

Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the state government to take action against Sharjeel Usmani, a former student leader. As per a complaint filed by BJYM leaders, Sharjeel Usmani allegedly made defaming statements on the Hindu community during his address at the Elgar Parishad conclave in Pune on Saturday.

Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Kotak on Sunday wrote to Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar, requesting him to ban web series Tandav , alleging that it hurts religious sentiments. It seems that makers of Tandav have deliberately mocked Hindu Gods and disrespected Hindu religious sentiments, he writes.
The minister also sought regulation of OTT platforms, saying filmmakers are taking undue advantage since it is not regulated.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 15 (ANI): Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders on Tuesday held a protest outside the state Assembly on the second of the winter session, over various issues including women safety and Maratha reservation.
Pravin Darekar, leader of opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council alleged that the government is running away from discussions and is facing strong opposition. The Maharashtra government does not seem to be serious about Maratha reservation. It should put all its efforts in the Supreme Court for the Maratha Reservation. The government should also take care that OBC (Other Backward Class) reservations remain intact and unchanged, he said.
