Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 7 (ANI): Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh on Wednesday arrived at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) office in connection with the Antilia bomb scare case.
The former top cop of Mumbai, Param Bir Singh, had levelled serious allegations of corruption against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.
This comes a day after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a preliminary inquiry in connection with the Bombay High Court order to probe allegations of corruption levelled against Deshmukh.
The Bombay High Court had directed the CBI to start a preliminary inquiry within 15 days into allegations.

CBI registers PE on orders of Bombay HC against Deshmukh
The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a preliminary enquiry (PE) into the allegations of corruption and misconduct levelled by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh against ex-Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. CBI will also record a statement of complainant Dr Jaishri Patil in connection with the corruption case against Deshmukh.
A CBI official said, The agency has registered a PE with respect to the Bombay High Court order dated April 5.
The Bombay High Court has asked the CBI director to conduct a preliminary inquiry within 15 days in connection with the case and to register an FIR if any cognisable offence is found.

Suspended Mumbai police officer Sachin Vaze was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on March 13 A Mumbai court on April 7 extended the NIA custody of suspended Mumbai police officer Sachin Vaze till April 9 in the case of an explosives-laden SUV found near industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence and the death of businessman Mansukh Hiran.
Mr. Vaze was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on March 13.
