The source offered a statement claiming Croft choked the woman while she was holding their child, according to an affidavit. The woman reportedly fought off the attack kicking and punching Croft to stop him, the report said. Croft was then accused of locking the woman, their child, and another child out of the house. (The victim) reached inside with her left arm in an attempt to unlock the chain latch, the report stated. When the door was slammed, (it) closed on her left arm (causing) a significant bruise.

CONCORD, NH A Connecticut man with friends on Pierce Street in Concord has been arrested on charges accused of repeatedly firing a handgun during the early morning hours of Dec. 3.
According to police, several officers were sent to the South End around 3 a.m. for a report of multiple shots fired. The focus of the initial investigation was in the Pierce and Perley streets area, a heavily populated neighborhood, according to Deputy Chief John Thomas of the Concord Police Department.
A judge has scheduled a hearing for next month that could decide whether a state board must provide access to meetings and records involving the certification of New Hampshire police officers.
The Merrimack County Superior Court hearing is on a case filed by the Union Leader Corp. after the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council closed a discipline-related certification hearing in October.
The hearings addressed the certification of Loudon police officer Justin Swift, who was fired from his previous employer, the Ossipee Police Department.
While dozens of state boards hold open hearings for licensing and certification of professions ranging from nursing to home inspection, law enforcement certification hearings are closed.
