Suspected home intruder fatally shot by resident Updated Jan 26, 2021; HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI – A man suspected of home invasion is dead after an occupant fatally shot him in Harrison Township on Monday afternoon, Jan. 25, The Detroit News reports. Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported home invasion around 12:30 p.m. on Monday at a residence in the Harrison Woods condo complex, the newspaper reports. Subsequent callers reported gunshots while deputies were en route to the scene. A 26-year-old Redford Township man was found dead inside the home, the report said. Police questioned a 27-year-old Harrison Township woman and a 27-year-old Inkster man who were in the home at the time of the incident. It was determined that the deceased man forced his way into the home and was shot by one of the occupants. The man and woman were released from police custody pending a case review by the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, the report said.

Banks and Davenport are facing life sentences for the homicide charges and an additional two years for the firearm felonies.  The two men are accused of shooting and killing 19-year-old Dazhane Jasmine Holloway and 18-year-old Dionna Janae Davis in front of their home at the Knottingham Apartments in Clinton Township on Friday, police said.
