HANOI: The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has requested its branches, credit institutions, foreign bank branches, and the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) ensure the safety of banking operations during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.

At least 22 Vietnamese cities and provinces have been allowed to either study online at home or take early Lunar New Year holiday regarding the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam recently.
According to the order of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, all schools from kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, vocational training centers, to continuing education centers will be closed from Tuesday.
Since then until February 5, students will study online at home.
