According to the latest news on www.bangkokpost.com, police nationwide have been ordered to be prepared to maintain law and order on Thursday when the red-shirts of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) plan to stage anti-coup rallies at military camps throughout the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said regional police commanders had been instructed to be ready to cope with the expected step up in activities by the red shirts in February and March and to be ready if they instigate violence.

There is a lot riding on veteran activist Jatuporn Prompan kick-starting a mass protest targeting Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha s ouster.
But if Mr Jatuporn thought that because he chairs the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) he could count on the support of the red shirts to solidify the campaign against the government, he may be heading for disappointment.
