DAVAO CITY – The city government of Davao opened Saturday its third vaccination site at the Magallanes Elementary School as it hastened the vaccination of frontline health workers amid the emergence of more infectious variants of COVID-19.

City Health Office (CHO) acting head Dr. Ashley Lopez said that the third vaccination site caters to frontline health workers of the city government, particularly personnel of the temporary treatment and monitoring facilities, Public Safety and Security Command Center, Davao City Central 911, Rapid Action Team, Barangay Health Emergency Response Team, barangay health workers, and Barangay Nutrition Scholars.

CEBU, Jan. 19 (PIA) Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar said a P500-M to P800-M Visayas media hub will soon be constructed in Cebu.
Andanar said the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) through Sen. Christopher Bong Go have approved the P500 to P800-million Visayas media hub.
Go had earlier discussed the possibility of opening a similar media hub for the Visayas with Andanar and DBM Sec. Wendel Avisado, following the inauguration of the Mindanao Media Hub in December 2020.

The Chinese diplomat was summarizing the three key messages discussed during the two-day visit of Chinese State Counselor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Manila on January 15-16, 2021, centering on the anti-pandemic efforts, the post-pandemic economic cooperation between the two countries, and the South China Sea issue.
“First, China will do its utmost to help the Philippines in its anti-pandemic efforts. Second, China will strongly support the Philippines’ efforts to achieve post-pandemic economic and social recovery at an early date.
