The receipts are in, but censorious big tech corporations don’t want you to see them. As reported by The New York Post last week, Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors purchased four homes in predominantly white neighborhoods for an estimated $3.2 million. Cullors, who claimed in 2015 she and her BLM colleagues are “trained Marxists,” is evidently no practicing Marxist herself.
Although Cullors and the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation hide behind both a veil of Marxism and “social justice” in qualifying efforts to encourage rioting and looting for months at the expense of national security, and the American taxpayer, Cullors’s decisions are representative of a capitalist.
US Sounds Alarm at China’s Military Buildup
With a trade surplus, China steadily builds its military and develops technology to engage in electronic warfare, suggests a US Department of Defense report. China and the US have strong economic ties, but are increasingly at odds over military activities. An article in the Wall Street Journal explains that the US Department of Defense expresses concerns about China’s advantages over Taiwan and other regional neighbors, intrusions into computer networks and a lack of communication that could result in accidental clashes. China and the US devote similar percentages of GDP to military expenditures, 4.3 and 4.06 percent, respectively, according to 2005 Central Intelligence Agency data. Yet the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute reports that, for 2009, the US share of global military spending was more than six times that of second-place China: 46 percent versus 6.6 percent. The Golden Celebration of Bangladesh’s independence, which began amidst Covid-19 pandemic on 17th March 2021 ended on 27th March 2021 with a big success. Those who attended the ten day programmes had to follow prescribed health protocols and, needless to say, though the number of invitees were limited to five hundred hardly on any day five hundred guests could attend the programmes due to the prescribed protocols, one being producing the Covid-19 ‘negative’ certificate. Those interested did not miss the programmes as they were telecast live on all TV channels. 17th March was the 101st Birth Day of the Father of the Nation and on this day virtually the Birth Centenary of the Bangabandhu was concluded. Initially all these programmes were planned to be big events but due to Covid-19 pandemic most of the programmes had to be curtailed and held virtually.
