When you go to a retail store, you expect to shop for some clothes or household items and maybe a pick up a few impulse buys while checking out. What you don t usually anticipate, however, is hearing gunshots inside the store. According to local news station
WKRN, that s exactly what happened at one Tennessee store last week.
A man accidentally shot himself while at a McMinnville store Friday afternoon (April 9), the news station reports. The incident reportedly happened inside the Walmart on North Chancery Street. Officers from the McMinnville Police Department responded to the scene.

Betty Mae Full was born April 3, 1928, in Salem, Oregon, to Edna (Cooley) Arthur and Henry W. Arthur. The family moved to Minnesota, where she spent her early childhood. She proclaimed to get to school in good weather she rode a horse four miles and in bad weather walked through three-foot-deep snowdrifts, uphill both ways.
When the family moved back to Oregon, Betty graduated from Newberg High School in 1945. She attended Linfield College and graduated from Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland as a Radiological Technologist. She moved to McMinnville in 1947, and for many years worked for the McMinnville Hospital, the Newberg Hospital, and Dr. Stephen Teal, retiring finally in 1990.

The operator of a motorcycle and his passenger were seriously injured in a single vehicle crash Sunday night on Southeast Baker Street near Cowls Street.
The McMinnville Police Department gave this account:
The Yamhill Communications Agency dispatch center began receiving calls about the crash shortly before 9 p.m. When officers and medical personnel arrived, they discovered a wrecked 2012 Suzuki motorcycle.
A preliminary investigation determined the motorcycle was operated by Jesse C. Davis, 43, of Lafayette. An adult male passenger has not been positively identified.

Three suspects were taken into custody Wednesday just after 1 p.m. in the Newtown area after they abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot. The manhunt lasted about an hour.
The vehicle was found on Bridge Builders Road in the Newtown area. Officers with high-powered rifles were following a specially trained K-9 led by McMinnville detective Eddie Colwell in trying to pick up the scent of the suspects.
