PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) â A 27-year-old man is dead and a 59-year-old man is in stable condition after a machete attack inside a Pontiac home Monday.
The deadly attack happened in the 50 block of Oliver Street.
Oakland County Sheriff s Deputies arrived at the location to find the deceased man lying on the home s dining room floor in a pool of blood.
Investigators say the suspect, a 51-year-old man from Independence Township had come to the home requesting drugs but became angry when he couldn t get them. The suspect then attacked both men with a machete and then with a steak knife.

11-month-old boy found dead in Oxford Township home
The Oakland County Sheriff s Office is investigating the death of an 11-month-old boy from Oxford Township, who was found dead Wednesday.
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Brookhollow Drive around 9:30 a.m., and discovered the infant, who was obviously deceased, according to a news release.
Authorities said the boy s guardian placed him on a blanket in the living room to sleep. She checked on the infant throughout the night, but in the morning, found the infant wrapped up in the blanket and not breathing.
Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff s Office responded to two people on Pontiac in two separate incidents Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 19-20.
Saturday, shortly before 5 p.m., deputies responded to a call about a man who had fallen down in front of the Perry Palace Party Store on North Perry.
The 51-year-old Pontiac man was unresponsive, with agonal breathing.

After Narcan was administered, the man regained consciousness.
When Star EMS arrived, the man refused medical attention or transport to the hospital. Deputies released him at the scene.
Sunday around 2 a.m., deputies were called to Newman Lane for a woman who was not breathing.

A 2-year-old child was found alone at his home in Michigan with the body of his dead grandmother, possibly 18-hours after she died.
The Oakland sheriff’s department said the toddler was found with the body of the 59-year-old woman, who was his grandmother and foster parent, at a home in Pontiac on Thursday, news outlet The Oakland Express reported.
The incident came to light after a child protective service worker had gone to the address for a routine check on the toddler. When the childcare worker did not get a response from the address, she contacted a family member to check on the woman.
