McLaren Elva Gulf makes Australian debut at Sydney Concours event

A very special McLaren made its Australian debut at the 2021 Sydney Concours d’Elegance event over the weekend, based on the Elva and complete with a custom Gulf Racing livery carried out by the McLaren Special Operations department. The McLaren Elva is already an extremely rare model from McLaren, with just 149 examples set to roll out from the production facility in the UK. This Elva Gulf theme version was unveiled at the Goodwood SpeedWeek live stream event in October, and was designed to celebrate a renewed partnership between the two legendary brands. McLaren and Gulf Oil began a new partnership recently, rekindling collaborations from the 1960s and ’70s. To mark the occasion McLaren took one of its rarest and most exotic models and gave it to its MSO department for a custom colour scheme in the Gulf Racing theme. One-Off McLaren Senna Merlin Edition Is A Kind Of Magic

This particular Senna is the one-off ‘Merlin’ edition and is finished in a bespoke shade named Sorcerer Black that was created by the bespoke paint principal of McLaren Special Operations, Darren ‘Merlin’ Towsend. The paint features rainbow-colored sparkles that are visible in certain lights and has been contrasted by gold pinstriping and rear wind endplates. In terms of performance, this P1 GTR s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 hybridized engine generates 986 hp and 1,045 lb-ft of torque, enabling the hypercar to sprint from 0-60 mph in just 2.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 225 mph. As for its aesthetic, a gloss black paint exterior color-scheme has been optioned with silver front, side, and rear lower panels. On the inside, it sports only one seat for the driver, and the cabin is outfitted purely for the track, lacking any of the comforts and conveniences found in the regular P1.
