In the past 20 years, around 2500 pharmaceutical factories, medications, medical equipment and biologically active product providers and pharmacies were established. However, as there is no integrated structure for state coordination and monitoring in the pharmaceutical market, the Cabinet considered it proper to establish the agency. - The Cabinet approved a list of necessary reserves of food products and other items required to ensure preparedness and take responsive measures in emergency situations of pandemic and others that poses threats to public health.
