Dubai: The UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai signs on Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, as its official hotel partner for the biggest event of the year launching on October 1, 2021.
Last week the collaboration was confirmed at an event hosted by Majid Al Futtaim in the Kempinski Hotel, one of the 13 hotels in its portfolio, connected to the Mall of the Emirates. The celebration was attended by Patrick Moody, UK Ambassador to the UAE; Simon Penney, UK Trade Commissioner; Laura Faulkner, UK Pavilion Commissioner General and Director, Expo 2020 Dubai and officials from the Department for International Trade (DIT) in the UAE. Majid Al Futtaim was represented by Ahmed Galal Ismail, Chief Executive Officer, Majid Al Futtaim Properties; Fuad Mansour Sharaf, Managing Director, UAE Shopping Malls, Majid Al Futtaim Properties; and Khalifa Bin Braik, Managing Director, Majid Al Futtaim Hotels.
Aecom wins lead consultancy contract for Mall of Saudi project

Al Zahia launches sale of 290-unit Sharjah villa community

An idyllic residential community comprising 290 three- to five-bedroom villas and townhouses, Al Lilac is the latest neighbourhood to welcome families in Al Zahia, following the handover of homes in Al Jouri and Al Narjis in 2017 and 2018 respectively. Sharjah s Al Zahia signs up Carrefour as anchor store at retail destination
SHARJAH, 11 hours, 7 minutes ago Sharjah’s premier lifestyle destination Al Zahia has announced that global retail major Carrefour will be the first anchor store to open at the community’s North Hub, a retail destination bringing key stores to the community residents. A joint venture between Majid Al Futtaim Properties and Sharjah Asset Management, Zahia is scheduled to be completed by 2023, and will include a total of 3,700 homes. It is located off Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and directly on University City Road. To date, 55 per cent of the project has been sold, with 800 families already moving in, said the developer.
