Suspect charged with 8 felonies after hours-long standoff in Billings Heights

UPDATE: Donald Foster pleaded not guilty to all eight felonies he is charged with in connection to a standoff and repeated assault of a woman.  The judge set bond at $2 million. If he is released, he will be tracked through an ankle monitor, and have a curfew.  He was remanded into custody at Yellowstone County Detention Facility.  BILLINGS, Mont. - A man is facing eight felony charges following an hours-long standoff in the Billings Heights that took place on the 300 block of Stillwater Lane April 3. The incident began when police were dispatched to the area around 2 a.m. for report of a hostage situation. A previous release states one of the victims, a 77-year-old woman, was able to call 911 and said she was being held hostage by Donald Foster, 47. The woman was able to escape and run out of the home.

Nordquist is the current coroner of Big Horn County. Court documents say the victim of the theft reported a cargo trailer stolen the weekend of April 27. Inside the trailer were 4 motorcycles and 2 ATVs with a total estimated worth of over $23,000.

A worker at Mike’s Body Shop called police April 21 to report a customer who drove off without paying a $2,211 repair bill. The repair shop made repeated calls to the 66-year-old Oregon man, but he never returned their calls, according to Jackson Police Sgt. Russ Ruschill. The man reportedly told the repair shop he needed to take the car to another shop.
