HANLEY FALLS Â A motorist was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital after his car struck a tree on Friday, the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office said. The crash is under investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of Yellow Medicine County Road 18 and Minnesota Highway 23 in Hanley Falls, a news release said. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Adrian Olby, 47. Olby was traveling eastbound on County Road 18 when he lost control of his vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said. The vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.
Adrian was injured in the crash and was airlifted from the scene by North Memorial Air Care, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office says a flammable liquid was poured onto a bonfire early Sunday morning in rural Granite Falls and five young men were injured. Three of them were airlifted, one directly from the scene.
