Raekwon, Packer and Diadora have teamed up again for a special N.9000 that celebrates the 25th anniversary of
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx and the 30th anniversary of the N.9000’s retail debut. An apt follow-up to 2015’s N.9000 “Purple Tape,” this new colorway pulls its inspiration from
OB4CL‘s memorable cover.
Keen-eyed Diadora fans may notice that the “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx” looks somewhat familiar. This is because when the “Purple Tape” released in 2015, the “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx” was a 1-of-1 unreleased sample given to Raekwon himself, and worn by the artist during the SOB’s performance that followed the “Purple Tape” drop.

Raekwon x Packer x Diadora N.9000: Official Release Information
Packer, Diadora & Raekwon Team Up for an End-Of-Year Banger
Diadora
Model: N.9000 “Cuban Linx”
Editor’s Notes: To celebrate 25 years of Raekwon’s solo debut album,
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, and 30 years of the N.9000, Packer, Diadora, and the Wu-Tang rapper have teamed up on the collaborative “Cuban Linx” N.9000.
This isn’t the first time that the trio has teamed up, having worked on the “Purple Tape” N.9000 in 2015. The above “Cuban Linx” colorway was actually a 1-of-1 sample created alongside the eventual standalone “Purple Tape” N.9000 five years ago. It was intended to be released as well, however, its release was ultimately scratched and Raekwon kept the only pair in existence as a personal pair.
