DHAKA, Jan 24, 2021 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Namzul Hasan Papon reminded the national cricket team that every point of the series against West Indies is important given the fact that the series is the part of ICC ODI Super League.
Bangladesh had already bagged the series by winning the first two matches of the three match series, making the third one a dead rubber.
But Papon said at this moment, no match is meaningless since a victory means, 10 points will be added.
“We had started our ICC ODI super league mission with this series and gained so far 20 points by winning the first two matches,” Papon said on Saturday.
McBrine’s targeting January victories over Afghanistan
ANDY McBrine knows that January’s three-match series against Afghanistan could be crucial if Ireland are to qualify for the next World Cup.
The Donemana man was named in Ireland’s 16-man squad to face UAE and Afghanistan in back-to-back series’ early next year and it’s the latter of those he is particularly focused upon.
This will be Ireland men’s first international action since their dramatic run-chase victory over World Champions England back in early August. The matches against Afghanistan will be part of the World Cup Super League.
