A 28-year-old Temple motorist was arrested Monday afternoon when he allegedly tried to hit a woman with his vehicle and crashed into a tire store, police said.
Christopher Anderson was in the Bell County Jail Monday afternoon. Jail records did not list a charge or a bond amount.
Police spokeswoman Alejandra Arreguin said the incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. at Discount Tire, 721 SW HK Dodgen Loop.
Anderson and a 26-year-old woman got into an argument, Arreguin said. When the woman jumped out of the vehicle, witnesses told police, Anderson attempted to run her over and instead crashed into Discount Tire.
A Killeen woman was arrested by Temple Police officers after she allegedly set a fire at a home during a violent disturbance.
Tyreesha Evazia Walker, 24, remained in the Bell County Jail Monday after her arrest in the 900 block of West Avenue E on Friday night. She is charged with arson of a building, a state jail felony. Her bond is set at $30,000, jail records show.
Temple Police spokeswoman Alejandra Arreguin said officers responded to the domestic disturbance at about 6:25 p.m. Walker and a 39-year-old man were arguing when officers arrived.
âThe 39-year-old male victim advised Walker tried to burn down the house after an argument,â Arreguin said. âHe stated he attempted to put out the fire with his hands and arms.â
A Harker Heights woman was arrested after a stolen car s GPS tracker led police to a Killeen home where cars stolen from Travis County and Copperas Cove were recently found.
Ofelia Miramontez with the Killeen Police Department reports that KPD was contacted by the Travis County Sheriff s Office for help locating a stolen vehicle from their neck of the woods equipped with a GPS tracker.
The vehicle, a silver 2008 Mercedes, was tracked to the backyard of a home in the 1100 block of Nolan Avenue in Killeen. Patrol officers spotted that car, plus another parked in the driveway that had been reported stolen out of Copperas Cove.
