Six adults and one child were displaced after two early morning fires on Tuesday, Feb. 2, according to a news release from Hall County Fire Services. No one was injured in either fire.
One of the fires was in the 2800 block of Pierce Road and involved a 1,500-square-foot home. Firefighters responded at 3:30 a.m. and were able to put out the fire quickly.
Two adults and one child were left homeless. The American Red Cross was contacted for assistance.
The first was in the 2800 block of Pierce Road, Brackett said in an email statement. Crews found a 1500 square-foot home with heavy fire showing just after 3:30 a.m. A quick fire attack extinguished the fire. Two adults and one child were displaced and the American Red Cross was contacted for assistance.
The second fire was reported at 3:45 a.m. at a residence in the 3800 block of Cochran Road.
Arriving units found a 2500 square-foot home on a basement with heavy fire showing throughout. Four adult occupants were displaced as a result of this incident, Brackett said.

GAINESVILLE, Ga. Authorities have released the names of the six people that died Thursday following the Gainesville plant s liquid nitrogen leak.
According to the Hall County Sheriff s Office press release, the victims include five men and one woman:
Jose DeJesus Elias-Cabrera, 45, of Gainesville
Corey Alan Murphy, 35, of Clermont
Nelly Perez-Rafael, 28, of Gainesville
Saulo Suarez-Bernal, 41, of Dawsonville
Victor Vellez, 38, of Gainesville
Edgar Vera-Garcia, 28, of Gainesville
Authorities were called to Foundation Food Group, previously known as Prime Pak Foods on Memorial Park Drive Thursday to respond to the scene. Several others were taken to the hospital, including a few firefighters. Authorities said the preliminary investigation shows a nitrogen line ruptured.
