PM Imran summons important meeting on issue of GSP Plus status

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned an important meeting to review European Parliament resolution against Pakistan which asks for a review of the country s GSP Plus (GSP+) status, Dunya News reported.
According to sources, the meeting will be held at the Prime Minister office in Islamabad today (Monday). Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over the meeting.
Sources further said that the meeting will be attended by Foreign Minister, Commerce Minister, Religious Affairs Minister, Home Minister and other high ranking senior officials.

Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister, Ebenezer Kojo Kum has appealed to all Muslims across the country to dedicate this year’s Ramadan to asking Allah to heal the world of Covid-19
In a statement issued by the Minister, Muslims should “commit the nation into the hands of Allah to help us overcome this pandemic that has plagued the country and the world at large.”
While wishing all Muslims the very best as they start the 30-day fasting and prayer season, Mr Kum urged participants to reflect on the many blessings from Allah.
“I know this is a time for families and loved ones to celebrate together but due to the time we find ourselves in, it is impossible to do that.”

Pakistanâs Religious Affairs Minister Noorul Haq Qadri said on Friday that the PTI government would soon take its 2020 agreement with Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan to parliament.
âWe talked about bringing this matter to parliament and it will be brought to the parliament,â Qadri said, referring to a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan and other ministers two days ago.
