Govt to table resolution on French ambassadors expulsion today: Rashid Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed announced in the wee hours of Tuesday that after a successful round of negotiations, Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan has agreed to end its protest across the country after the government tables a resolution regarding expulsion of the French ambassador in the National Assembly today. “After detailed discussions with TLP it has been agreed that the government will table the resolution in the National Assembly today,” he said in a video message. اسلام آباد۔ 20 اپریل حکومت اور تحریک لبیک پاکستان کے درمیان مذاکرات کامیاب۔ Rashid further said that according to the agreement, TLP will end its protests across the country including Jamia Masjid Rehmatul-lil-Alamin.

ISLAMABAD: The opposition members in the National Assembly came down hard on the government for imposing a media blackout over the issue of Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protests. Former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, speaking on a point of order, said there had been a media blackout and rumours rife in the entire country, as nobody knew what was happening all around. “You are the most fascist government in history of the country despite your claims of giving freedom to the media,” he said. Regretting absence of Prime Minister Imran Khan from the house proceedings, the PPP leader said the government was avoiding its responsibilities and it did not know how to handle the sensitive issues.

This was revealed in a parliamentary party briefing by Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid and the Minister of Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri on negotiations with the TLP. The parliamentary party meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan. It was briefed that no decision has been taken to lift the ban against Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and it will remain in force.
